What the extension brings and how it works

When you add a new person to Pipedrive, the extension pops the person's name and adds the shape in the fifth position to a custom field. You can then use this custom field in your email templates to send emails including the correct personal salutation. This will increase the likelihood of your message being read and responded to.

Choose your favorite variation of the salutation you use in your emails. For example, the following options are available with Peter Novak:

• Hello Mr. Novak
• Hello, Mr. Novak
• Hello Peter
• Hello, Peter
• Dear Mr. Novak
• Hi, Peter.

Of course, the inflection of female names (Hello Mrs. Nováková) is also a matter of course.

How to install name inflection in your Pipedrive CRM

Here you will find step by step how you can install the extension. Only an administrator can install the extension. The extension will be enabled for all users directly.

Before you start...

IMPORTANT: In order for the application to work properly, you need to have a custom Address field with text format at the Person level in Pipedrive CRM. This field will generate your outreach.

If you don't already have a field created, navigate to the detail of any person you have saved in Pipedrive CRM.

1. Click on Customize Field.
2. At the bottom, you will see the Add New Field option.
3. Enter a name for the Outreach field. The field type will be Text.
4. Click Save.

How to install the extension to generate email outreach.

1. Log in to your Pipedrive CRM. If you don't have an account yet, try the free 30-day trial.

2. Type "czech"in the search box in the top middle and select the apps icon in the left column.

3. Select the extension called Czech Name Inflection (unfortunately, Pipedrive didn't allow us to use Czech names).

4. The application detail will open.Click Authorize.

5. Then another window will open - if you have multiple instances, select which one to install it to. Otherwise, just click on Allow and Install.

6. The final screen appears with an instructional video. Click Continue to Pipedrive.

7. Go to the settings for apps downloaded from the Pipedrive Marketplace (your name on the top right -> Tools and Apps -> Apps from the Marketplace on the bottom left)

8. For Czech Name Inflection, click the button with three dots and select Settings.

9. Expand the Select Addressing Fields box and select a custom field at the Person level to generate the address (it must be a text field, not a number, date, or other format).

10. Select the format of the salutation to be generated - according to your preferences and your communication style.

• Hello Mr. Novak (Hello + greeting received)
• Hi Peter (Hi+addressing by first name)
• Dear Mrs. Svoboda (Dear Sir/Madam + pronounced last name)

11. Click Save.

12. And you are done. Once you add a new person to Pipedrive, it will immediately generate the correct salutation for your emails.

13. Go to any deal. Within the Deal, click on Email (just like when you write an email).

14. Write your email. In place of the salutation, insert the Salutation field (Insert field -> search Salutation - > Insert).

15. You can send the email, or save it as a template to use for future emails.
