What is CRM?

CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management, which includes activities aimed at building, maintaining and improving long-term relationships with clients throughout their lifecycle. This strategy is often implemented using dedicated CRM systems such as Pipedrive, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.

While CRM refers to a general customer relationship management strategy, a CRM system is a specific tool used to implement that strategy. A CRM system helps to record all activities related to clients from the initial contact to the end of the relationship. However, you will generally come across the abbreviation CRM nowadays in the sense of CRM system.

The goal of CRM is to build satisfied relationships with existing customers while effectively acquiring new ones. This includes tracking all interactions with clients, from the initial contact to resolving their issues after the order is submitted.

Pipedrive

Pipedrive was founded in 2010 as a solution to the founders' frustration with existing CRM systems, which they felt were too complicated and not flexible enough for smaller businesses. So it was designed to be easy to use, intuitive and simple. Pipedrive's own tagline then is: simple CRM for salespeople by salespeople.

It mainly focuses on supporting sales teams in managing their deals and pipeline and includes various features such as opportunity management, sales process tracking and sales forecasting. Today, it is used by thousands of companies worldwide and is recognized as one of the leading CRM solution providers for small and medium businesses.

Key features of Pipedrive

  • Truly easy to use and user-friendly: Pipedrive has an intuitive interface that allows you to quickly set up and launch the platform without the need for lengthy training or complex installations. The user-friendly design makes navigation simple and users can easily find the information they need without having to delve into complex menus or redundant data layers.
  • Pipedrive provides contact profileswith a complete history of interactions, conversations and more, allowing marketers to track all activity in one place. This provides valuable insights into customer behavior for both marketers and marketing.
  • Reporting with custom views: Users can easily create custom reports tailored to their individual needs. From detailed business activity to an overall view of customers.
  • Automation. This saves time that can be used for more productive activities.
  • Integrations and APIs: Pipedrive offers a wide range of integrations with various services and tools, allowing businesses to easily connect data between different platforms. And what it can't integrate natively, it solves with an API that can be used on the Make platform to connect other systems.
  • Project Management: although it is a business-focused CRM, it has features to manage projects so they can be managed directly in Pipedrive.
  • We helped translate Pipedrive into Czech, which it now fully supports.
  • Pipedrive is primarily sales-oriented, which is especially appreciated by performance-oriented companies with an emphasis on sales.

Pipedrive pricing

Pipedrive offers four main pricing plans: Essential, Advanced, Professional and Enterprise. Pricing starts at $350 per user per month and gradually increases depending on the content and range of features provided. The Advanced plan includes features such as individual dashboards and third-party email integrations, while the Enterprise plan offers access to APIs and advanced security.

Pipedrive offers affordable pricing and robust features. Their pricing starts at $350 for basic features. However, you probably can't do without extensions for features like automation and reporting. These start at 750 CZK. We make no secret of the fact that we really like Pipedrive. In this article, we compared CRMs in terms of the most important features in a price/performance ratio and Pipedrive appears to be significantly better value for money.

Hubspot

HubSpot offers a wide range of customer relationship management (CRM) software tools and services focused on sales, marketing and customer service.

Hubspot's main features

  • Automated lead nurturing: HubSpot offers businesses efficient ways to track and nurture leads through process automation. This enables sales teams to keep track of their leads and move them through the sales process faster.

  • A/B testing: with the A/B testing feature, you can compare different versions of campaigns or content and measure their effectiveness. This allows them to optimize marketing activities based on real data.
  • Forecasting: HubSpot makes it easy to predict future business results.

Due to the scale of the Hubspot platform, working with it can be too challenging for some users .

Hubspot price

HubSpot's paid plans are categorized into Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Content, Operations, and Commerce. Prices range from $23 to $2,000 per month depending on the range of services provided.

Sales (CRM) monthly plans start at $480 and include only basic features like order management and calendar and email syncing. However, you'll pay extra to expand to features like reporting and automation. In higher plans, you'll need CZK 2,000/month/user. Additionally, users have the option to purchase the marketing part for additional marketing activities with current and new customers.

Raynet

Czech CRM from Ostrava. Raynet CRM strives to make the daily work of employees easier, especially if they are just starting out with CRM. The advantage is integration with other Czech services, which can be problematic or complicated when using international CRM systems.

Business case overview. Possibility to synchronize emails via virtual assistant. API and the ability to connect via the Make platform.

Key features of Raynet

  • Connection to Czech systems: Raynet allows native connection to other Czech tools that are popular in our country, which most of the world's CRMs do not.
  • Raynet provides completemanagement of business cases, marketing campaigns and customer contacts. This allows your business to efficiently coordinate all business activities and easily navigate the entire business process.
  • Modern interface: Raynet CRM offers a simple user interface that will be appreciated especially by beginners in the world of CRM systems. Larger teams and users looking for complex features may not find Raynet suitable.

The Raynet price

Raynet has new prices from 2024. From the original one plan for 650 CZK / month there are now 3. Start, Professional and Enterprise. If you are serious about CRM or need access for at least 4 users, reach for the Professional plan for 740 CZK / month with an annual payment.

Salesforce

CRM for larger companies. Possibility to solve not only business processes within the tool. Professional setup via partner required. The cost of implementation ranges from hundreds of thousands to millions of crowns.

Salesforce has been on the market since 1999 and was one of the first CRM tools available as a cloud service. This flexibility has made it a popular choice for businesses of all sizes, leading to a rapid growth in its user base.

Over the years, Salesforce has grown into a leader in CRM. In addition to the CRM platform itself, it offers other products and services such as marketing automation, analytics, and customer support management.

Key features of Salesforce

  • Scalability: Salesforce is highly scalable, allowing businesses to respond quickly to changing needs. The platform can grow as the business grows, allowing businesses to purchase only the necessary features they need now and add more features later as needed.
  • Simplified collaboration: Salesforce makes it easy for teams, departments, and customers to collaborate through an intuitive interface while providing secure access control to different parts of the system. This improves communication between employees and allows managers to quickly assign tasks to different groups of people without compromising security or violating privacy standards.
  • Real-time customer data: with analytics tools, businesses can get real-time information about customer behaviour, allowing them to make faster and more informed decisions. Users can identify trends in customer buying patterns, preferences and more, allowing them to create better content for their customers through personalized campaigns or product recommendations.
  • Automation: many common processes that would otherwise be done manually can be automated in Salesforce. Automation also greatly reduces the risk of errors associated with manual data entry, which contributes to greater accuracy throughout the organization.

This is a CRM more for larger companies. Unfortunately to its complexity, Salesforce requires professional setup through a partner. The cost of implementation is then in the hundreds of thousands to millions of crowns.

Salesforce price

Salesforce has pricing plans divided into four main categories: the Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Commerce Cloud. Within CRM, we are mainly interested in Sales Cloud. Pricing starts at $25 per user per month and can increase depending on customer requirements and the range of features provided. For example, Marketing Cloud plans start at $1,000 per month.

You can get basic features for $600 per month on the cheapest plan. For more extensive uses such as automation and reporting, prices range from around $1,920 to $3,960 per month/user. So on average, companies will pay around CZK 3,000 / user to have the most important CRM features.

Zoho CRM

Zoho is a family of enterprise software that was founded in 1996. In addition to solutions for finance, marketing, HR, etc., it also offers Zoho CRM. This platform offers a wide range of features that you would expect from a CRM. However, you will appreciate it most when using other tools from the Zoho ecosystem, which it integrates nicely into. As a standalone CRM, however, it falls slightly short of the market standard in terms of clarity and quality.

Main features of Zoho CRM

  • Ecosystem: Zoho offers seamless integration with its own tools and many third-party applications. This allows companies to connect disparate systems into a unified ecosystem.
  • Data security. Your data remains fully in your control, with strict measures against third-party access.
  • Customizability: one of the main advantages of Zoho is its flexibility. Companies can "bend" the CRM to fit their specific needs and processes. This reduces the need to use additional software to some extent.
  • Communication management: in Zoho, customer interactions can be tracked across channels, including email, phone, social media and online chat, ensuring a consistent and efficient customer experience.
  • AI and reporting: Zoho provides powerful analytics tools, including predictive analytics with which their Zia AI can help you.

Zoho CRM pricing

Zoho's pricing consists of four categories: standard, professional, enterprise and ultimate + packages.

The Standard plan starts at €14 per user per month, and the Ultimate plan starts at €52 per user per month. Zoho also offers certain packages that aim to more profitably sell multiple applications (solutions) together. We think that if you want a CRM that meets today's standards and includes modules for marketing and projects, you should reach for the CRM Plus package, which starts at €57/user/month - or about €1,450. In this case, it is a comparable solution to other applications.

In addition to these plans, Zoho also offers various additional products and services, such as advanced analytics tools, additional storage and personal customer support, which can be purchased separately. Customized pricing is available for large enterprises.

Microsoft Dynamics 365

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a cloud platform for CRM and ERP. Prior to the launch of Dynamics 365, Microsoft had several other CRM and ERP products, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics AX, which helped businesses manage and automate various aspects of business processes, including customer relations, finance, and operations.

In 2016, the CRM and ERP products were merged into one platform, Dynamics 365, which combines the functionality of both solutions. This platform is designed with flexibility, scalability and the ability to adapt to the specific needs of different businesses in mind.

Key features of Microsoft Dynamics 365

  • Ecosystem: The platform integrates easily with other Microsoft services and applications, providing users with efficient processes for managing customer data across platforms. This eliminates manual data entry errors and saves time that can be used for other tasks.
  • Real-time reporting: Microsoft Dynamics 365 allows you to track customer activity in real-time, such as the frequency and type of purchases they make. This allows businesses to gain valuable insights into customer behavior and better understand their needs, making it easier to make informed decisions regarding marketing campaigns and product offerings.
  • Automation: Microsoft Dynamics 365 users can automate routine tasks such as sending follow-up emails or updating customer records. Automated notifications then ensure accuracy and consistency of customer information.
  • Customer support: Microsoft Dynamics 365 offers a wide range of customer service options such as personalized support plans, automated troubleshooting processes, and other features that enable businesses to provide better service and increase overall brand loyalty.
  • Predictive analytics: predictive analytics helps businesses identify trends in customer behavior, allowing them to more accurately predict future demand or preferences.
  • Scalability and price: Microsoft Dynamics 365 scales really well, but it's more likely to be appreciated by large companies. Implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 is difficult and you will usually need an integration partner to do so. Further customisations are often very expensive too - the cost of implementation can run into millions of crowns. Due to the complexity, some users find it difficult to use the platform, and it's not helped by the difficulty of integrating with systems outside the Microsoft ecosystem.

Price of Microsfot Dynamics 365

Microsoft Dynamics 365 pricing plans are divided into ten categories, but the three main ones are Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Dynamics 365 Marketing.

Dynamics 365 Sales plans start at $65 per month per user, providing basic CRM features such as contact and lead management, email communication, and transaction tracking. So overall, you'll pay about $1,600/user/month. If you want to expand your CRM with additional features like customer support and marketing, you'll pay another tens to hundreds of dollars/month. You also need to take into account the cost of implementing the entire solution.

Sugar CRM

For us, Sugar CRM is behind the times. Although it's a robust CRM, it's only useful if you use it as is. Modifying and setting it up is very awkward and also expensive. Customer support is very poor.

Sugar CRM Price

Sugar CRM has several packages for Sales, Marketing and Customer Support. We're mainly interested in Sales, which is split into Essentials ($19/user/month), Advanced ($85/useru and PRemier ($135/useru). You can get Essential for 3 - 5 users and you need to buy a minimum of 10 users per month from the Advanced plan. Under the Advanced plan you will pay about 2000 CZK per month for one user.
