How to use company information in CRM system
Working with data from the Commercial Register
The Commercial Register will give you basic information about companies - company name, registered office, company ID, statutory representative and date of incorporation. It's just the basics, but you'll definitely use it for:
- reducing duplicates - CRM systems can detect duplicates thanks to the unique identifier (ID number) and then offer options to merge them
- for issuing quotations, NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) or invoices, it is useful to have the correct data - CRM systems can generate contracts and quotations, or they can be linked to accounting systems such as fakturoid, idoklad and similar
In Dáváme we also do it the other way around - if we receive a payment from a customer, the invoicing system sends the information to the CRM and we have information about paid invoices of our customers in our reports. We then display these in the dashboard.
Why is this good to have?
You can view period comparisons and filter for companies that have less spend with you this year than last. Or we use this to segment customers - those who pay a lot are A clients, those who pay less are B clients and those who pay little are C clients - and have support accordingly, have different communications and so on.
Do you want more data?
Private databases like Bizmachine or Merk offer additional data. For example, the number of cars in the company's fleet or a list of all branches. With these registers, it is often also possible to get financial data (the company is growing, so why not grow the turnover here?) or information about insolvency.
Pipedrive and business register
Pipedrive allows you to connect to the commercial register for free. Just use the extension on the Pipedrive Marketplace.
In addition, we can customize Pipedrive to display the comparison data right on the Companies/Organizations tab.
